Payment → delivery of a digital guide
After a customer pays, they get an email with their download link, and the sale is logged in a sheet.
Step 1 of 4 · Trigger
Payment completed
A customer completes checkout through your payment link.
What you set up
Create the payment link in Stripe and note which event signals a completed checkout.
Watch for
Only deliver after a completed, paid event. Test with Stripe’s test mode first.
Setup steps
Prepare the product and the link
Upload the file somewhere you control. Decide whether the link expires.
Create the Stripe payment link
Set the product, price and confirmation page. Use test mode first.
Build the Make scenario
Trigger on completed checkout, then send the email and append the sheet row.
Prevent duplicates
Check the session ID against the sheet before sending.
Add a failure path
If email sending fails, log “failed” in the sheet and alert yourself.
Test end to end
Buy with a test card, then check email, sheet and failure handling. Go live only after that.
Test it before you rely on it
- Complete a test payment and confirm the email and sheet row.
- Replay the same event and confirm only one email is sent.
- Break the email step and confirm you are alerted.
Caveats
- You are responsible for taxes, consumer-rights rules and refund handling in your region.
- This site does not currently sell downloads, and no downloadable files are offered here.
